Academy Expands International Cooperation in the Fight Against Drug Crime

Today, a working meeting was held at the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the leadership of the Central Asian Regional Information and Coordination Centre (CARICC) and the Regional Office of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Central Asia.

The Academy was represented by its First Vice-Rector, K. Seitenov, along with the leadership and staff of the Institute of Professional Training. CARICC was represented by A. Erkaboev, Head of the Information and Analytical Unit, and Yu. Kurbonov, International Coordinator of the UNODC Regional Programme.

During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues in combating drug crime, including personnel training, joint workshops and internships, and the exchange of expertise among countries in the region. Special attention was paid to planning future educational events and research projects.

The meeting underscored the Academy’s importance as a platform for international cooperation in ensuring regional security.

In conclusion, both sides confirmed their readiness to expand the partnership and agreed to continue their systematic joint work.
