As part of the “Week of Law and Order” initiative, a public speaking competition was held at the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The participants were students of the initial professional training courses.
This event helps future prosecutors develop confidence, the ability to articulate their thoughts clearly, and the skill of structuring legal presentations effectively. Such skills are essential for court appearances and interactions with the public.
The jury consisted of representatives from the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Prosecutor of Kosshy city, as well as faculty and scholars from the Academy. Participants were evaluated on the content, logic, originality, and their ability to find solutions to legal and social issues.
The topics of the speeches addressed current issues, including the protection of citizens’ rights, the fight against corruption and narcotics, the prevention of violence and bullying, as well as the role of a prosecutor and leadership in public service.
The winners of the competition are:
- Grand Prix – Aida Sarzhanova
- 1st place – Daniyal Bazilzhanuly
- 2nd place – Abylaikhan Suleimenov
- 3rd place – Timur Kassenov
The winners received diplomas and commemorative gifts.
The Academy believes that eloquent speech is a crucial tool in a prosecutor’s work. The competition was part of the training for specialists who will be able to represent the law and protect citizens’ rights with dignity.
