On June 5, 2025, the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted a lecture tour dedicated to Turkic Writing Day. The event was organized by the Interdepartmental Research Institute of the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the General Prosecutor’s Office.
Academy staff and students got to check out the exhibits in the “Ancient Turkic Civilization” and “Ancient Art and Technology of the Great Steppe” halls. They learned about the material and spiritual culture of the ancient Turks, the development of writing, and the significance of runic inscriptions as an early form of the Turkic languages.
The Vice-Rector of the Academy and Director of the MNII, Gulnar Shushikova, emphasized the significance of the event: “Ancient Turkic writing became an important stage in the cultural development of the Turkic peoples. The inscriptions in honor of Kultegin, Bilge Khan, and the Talas texts are monuments of high literature and ancient thought.”
The excursion allowed participants to touch the origins of Turkic civilization and realize the continuity of cultural values.
