Staff from the Law Enforcement Academy under the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in an OSCE regional seminar on combating human trafficking in the digital age, held on May 29-30 in Ashgabat.
Zhanar Seitaeva, head of the academy’s department, presented Kazakhstan’s experience in identifying online platforms with a high risk of human trafficking and spoke about approaches to analyzing digital traces that allow for a timely response to new forms of exploitation. In her speech, she emphasized: “We are seeing a surge in fraudulent centers, the digitalization of advertising, and a change in the profile of victims. This requires us to constantly improve our investigation and prevention tools.”
The Academy’s participation in such international events contributes to strengthening regional cooperation and the exchange of experience with foreign partners.
As a Regional Hub for Countering Global Threats, the Academy consistently contributes to ensuring regional security by strengthening cooperation with international organizations and supporting the integration of best practices into the work of law enforcement agencies in Central Asia.
