On May 29, 2025, a meeting was held at the UN Office in Astana between representatives of the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Regional Representative of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Dr. Oliver Stölpe.
During the meeting, the parties discussed priority areas of cooperation for the coming year, including the joint implementation of educational and analytical initiatives aimed at strengthening the capacity of law enforcement agencies in the fight against transnational organized crime, drug trafficking, and financial crimes.
Academy Rector Marat Seksebaev presented Dr. Stolpe with a commemorative medal established in honor of the Academy’s 10th anniversary, emphasizing the UNODC’s contribution to the development of international partnerships and expert support in the field of training for law enforcement agencies.
The parties confirmed their mutual interest in expanding cooperation and expressed their readiness to conduct joint events, training programs, and research projects.
