The General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a solemn event dedicated to two significant dates: Defender of the Fatherland Day and the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The event was attended by the leadership and staff of the supervisory authority, as well as veterans of the prosecutor’s office.
The Prosecutor General of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Berik Asylov, delivered a welcoming speech, noting the profound historical significance of these holidays, expressing gratitude to veterans for their heroism and self-sacrifice, and emphasizing the importance of serving the Motherland and ensuring law and order in peacetime.
As part of the celebration, veterans of the prosecutor’s office were presented with commemorative awards, letters of appreciation, and flowers.
Words of gratitude were expressed for their dedication and contribution to the development of the prosecutor’s office system.
A book was presented at the event, developed in honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, reflecting the exploits and merits of combatants and home front workers who, before or after the Great Patriotic War, contributed to strengthening the rule of law and order while serving in the prosecutor’s office of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In honor of the holiday, the Head of State noted the merits of prosecutors in strengthening law and order. By presidential decree, a number of prosecutors were awarded the ranks of senior command and state awards.
Also, by order of the Prosecutor General, a number of veterans and employees of the prosecutor’s office were commended.
After the official award ceremony, a solemn event was held at the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, Defender of the Fatherland Day, and the 10th anniversary of the Academy.
Flowers were laid at the monument to the participants of the Great Patriotic War, and trees were planted as a sign of generational continuity and as part of the “Taza Kazakhstan” campaign.
The event took place in the city of Kosshy, on the land where the People’s Hero, Rakhymzhan Koshkarbayev, was born—a man who, with his soldiers, was the first to raise the battle flag over the Reichstag under enemy crossfire. His feat is an example of courage and heroism for our future generations.
At the ceremony dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Academy, the Prosecutor General summed up the results of the Academy’s ten-year journey, and its best employees were awarded honorary awards. Sports competitions were held between teams from the prosecutor’s office located in Astana.
The celebration became a symbol of the connection between generations, recognition of the merits of veterans, respect for national traditions, and the Academy’s desire for further development as the leading scientific and educational center of the country’s law enforcement system.
