“Law and Teenagers”: The Academy held an interactive lecture at the NURORDA Lyceum School

A practical lecture on “Law and order: prevention of juvenile delinquency” was held at the NURORDA Lyceum in Astana. The event was initiated by the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The off-site format of the legal education lecture was a continuation of the implementation of the priorities announced by the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on fostering a culture of respect for the law and the principles of law and order in society.

Senior lecturer at the Department of Special Legal Disciplines of the Institute of Postgraduate Education of the Academy Mukhtar Sadykov and master’s student at the Academy Mira Sabieva spoke to students in grades 7-11. In their dialogue with the students, they touched on a number of topical issues, including bullying and cyberbullying, vandalism, hooliganism, illegal drug trafficking, violent acts, and gambling addiction.

The lecturers shared real cases from investigative and prosecutorial practice, explained the legal consequences of specific offenses, and talked about the mechanisms of legal protection for minors. The interactive format allowed students not only to listen, but also to actively ask questions, engage in discussions, and share their personal opinions.

Teachers and the school psychologist joined the discussion, which ensured a comprehensive approach to the prevention of deviant behavior. The event became a real platform for open dialogue between law enforcement representatives and young people.

The teaching staff of the NURORDA Lyceum expressed their gratitude to the Academy for the professionalism and practical value of the lecture. According to the teachers, such meetings play an important role in shaping a stable legal culture and a sense of responsibility to society among adolescents.
