The Academy’s anniversary was celebrated with a table tennis tournament

In honor of the 10th anniversary of the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a table tennis tournament was held, bringing together nine teams of law enforcement officers. The competition took place at the ADD SPORT ASTANA sports complex and was part of the anniversary celebrations.

Opening the event, Gulnar Shushikova, Vice-Rector and Director of the Academy, noted: “Sport is an integral part of the Academy’s educational and developmental environment. It helps to strengthen team spirit and develop endurance, stamina, and leadership qualities. All of these are important components of the professional activities of law enforcement officers.”

The guests of honor at the competition were Vice President of the Table Tennis Federation of Kazakhstan Yelsyar Kanagatov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Legal Statistics and Special Records Gabit Mirazov, and international coach Gennady Gerasimenko. They supported the sporting initiative and wished the players confidence, composure, and worthy results.

The games were held in a spirit of sporting rivalry and respect. The participants demonstrated a high level of training, coordination, and desire to win.

At the end of the tournament, the team of the Main Military Prosecutor’s Office, which confidently won all matches, climbed to the top step of the podium. Second place went to the team of the General Prosecutor’s Office, which demonstrated a persistent and technical style of play. Third place was won by the Academy team, which confirmed its high level of physical and tactical training.

At the award ceremony, Academy Rector Marat Seksembaev congratulated the participants and winners of the tournament, presented them with well-deserved awards, and emphasized the importance of such events for strengthening interdepartmental cooperation, developing corporate culture, and promoting the values of a healthy lifestyle.

Special attention was paid to veterans and retirees of law enforcement agencies during the tournament. Kanat Mukhamedzhanov (veteran of the prosecutor’s office), Marat Muratbekov (veteran of the anti-corruption service), and Yuri Vasilenko (veteran of the internal affairs agencies) were recognized for their active participation, sportsmanship, and skill.

A special prize for promoting table tennis, as well as in recognition of his conscientious service and loyalty to the profession, was awarded to Magomed Akayev, a veteran of the prosecutor’s office.

The Academy expresses its gratitude to everyone who took part in organizing and conducting the tournament and hopes to continue this good tradition.
