VIII International Conference in honor of the 10th anniversary of the Academy and Science Day

On the eve of Science Workers’ Day, the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies hosted the 8th International Scientific and Practical Conference “Transformation of Legal Science: The View of Young Scientists.” The event, organized jointly with the Kazakhstan Association of Prosecutors, was timed to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the Academy.

The conference brought together legal scholars from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, and Uzbekistan. Doctoral and master’s students from universities, as well as practicing specialists in the field of law enforcement, took an active part in the discussions.

In his welcoming speech, the first vice-rector of the Academy, Kaliolla Seitenov, emphasized the importance of involving young people in scientific activities: “The scientific sphere is an integral part of the state and a guarantee of the country’s future. The future of legal science is linked to young researchers and scientists.” He stressed the need to involve the new generation in the implementation of ambitious scientific tasks.

Among the guests of honor at the forum were Viktor Mishenin, acting rector of the St. Petersburg Academy of the Investigative Committee, associate professor, colonel of justice; Kairat Abdrakhmanov, vice president for international cooperation at Astana International University; Deputy Head of the National Defense University Sapar Kulataev, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education Asylkhan Bibosinov, and Chairman of the Board of the International Institute of Professional Mediators and Lawyers Zhanara Usipbekova.

The conference program covered a wide range of topics, including the development of criminal and penitentiary legislation, issues of criminal procedure and criminalistics, as well as current problems of civil, administrative, and information law. Separate emphasis was placed on the principles of legality in the activities of the prosecutor’s office, ensuring human rights, and achieving sustainable development.

The forum resulted in practical recommendations aimed at improving research policy in the field of law enforcement, as well as suggestions for future fundamental and applied research.
