The Law Enforcement Academy continues to develop educational programs that teach future prosecutors practical supervisory skills. As part of the training process, students undergoing initial professional training visited the temporary detention center of the Astana Police Department.
The field trip allowed them not only to learn about the theory of prosecutorial supervision, but also to see how it is implemented in practice. Future prosecutors studied the organization of the detention center’s work, the routine and conditions of detention, the system of control over the detention center staff, and the functioning of the investigator’s and prosecutor’s offices. Particular attention was paid to issues of medical care, sanitary standards, fire and epidemic safety.
Monitoring the legality of places of detention is one of the key areas of work of the prosecutor’s office. Therefore, such classes help students better understand the specifics of the service, increasing their professionalism and legal awareness.
The Academy expresses its gratitude to the Astana Police Department for supporting educational initiatives and assisting in the organization of practical training.
