Academy staff enhanced their knowledge in the field of cybersecurity and personal data protection

As part of the implementation of the protocol assignment of the meeting of the interdepartmental commission of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan on information security issues, training on cybersecurity and personal data protection was held at the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies.

The event was organized with the support of the Information Security Committee of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan and was intended for Academy employees specializing in this field.

The Committee’s experts shared their experience in the field of information security and personal data protection, and also talked about the control measures being taken.

Participants were presented with the free educational platforms “citizensec.kz” and “nomadguard.kz”, developed to improve the level of cyber hygiene among the population. These resources include video courses on data protection, as well as the “citizensec” magazine, which contains useful recommendations on combating Internet fraud, financial security, and personal data protection.

In addition, specialists from JSC “State Technical Service” and OUL “Center for Analysis and Investigation of Cyber Attacks” conducted classes on digital hygiene, teaching participants how to safely use websites, email, social networks, and how to protect data on smartphones and personal computers.

The Academy’s teaching staff will apply the knowledge they have gained in the future when training future law enforcement officers.
