On behalf of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Interdepartmental Research Institute of the Academy has started conducting a scientific study on the issues of evidence in criminal cases on asset recovery.
The main purpose of the study is to identify and analyze problematic issues of collecting and evaluating evidence in cases of this category, as well as to study international legal instruments on this issue.
As you know, currently the efforts of the criminal prosecution authorities are mainly aimed at bringing the perpetrators to criminal responsibility.
At the same time, during the pre-trial and judicial investigation, the issues of property search and their return from abroad often remain without due attention, including due to the complexity of proof.
Based on this, one of the main tasks facing the authors of the study is to develop methodological recommendations that are maximally adapted and convenient for practical use, as well as containing step-by-step algorithms for collecting evidence.
Taking into account the novelty and relevance of the topic under consideration, we invite interested parties to cooperate within the framework of the ongoing research.
