The regional training for law enforcement agencies of Central Asia, dedicated to computer-forensic examination using publicly available data, has completed its work.
The event was organized by the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies together with the OSCE Program Office in Nur-Sultan.
Cybercrime has become one of the global threats to national and international security today. The situation strongly dictates the need to strengthen the work on combating crime in the field of IT technologies, professional development of specialists involved in the investigation of cases of this category.
Within the framework of the training, the key topics of the formation of digital forensics, tools and techniques for conducting computer examinations, searching and collecting data, documenting digital evidence were considered.
An important element of the training was a practical lesson with the simulation of cybercrime and its investigation.
Special emphasis is placed on the study and borrowing of international best practices. OSCE experts spoke about modern means of identifying digital evidence, using software systems to detect and prevent computer attacks.
